Q. Why won't the codes on the site work?
A. Honestly, we are doing the best we can. Back when the games first came out with 4 letter codes, they changed daily, and reliably. Now - not so much... We are still trying to figure out what their plan is and when the codes change over but we don't know.
What we have figured out, is that most games seem to have codes that last about 3 days, but not everyone's code changes on the same day. And, different games change codes on different days.
Our solution for now has been to leave codes up about 3 days. Around 8 AM EST, the codes from the previous day clear out (shown as 5 AM on our server). Its not a perfect system, as sometimes a "verified" code may have expired. If you get a lot of problems with codes, our suggestion is to simply try another day's worth of codes. This is why we specify the day in the list.

Q. How do I clear my messages in the game?
A. At the time of writing this, you can't, at least not all at once. Sure, you can read each message one at a time, but most people who trade a lot of codes of pretty much given up on messaging anyone in the games.
We would also suggest NOT bothering AS about messasges. We can't prove it, but the last time people complained about getting too many messages, they changed the key codes from daily, to the much less frequent rate they are now (about 3 days for a new key). It seems they are not interested in changing the message system for whatever reason, and pestering them just makes them make the keys less frequent (so you get less messages).

Q. How do I use this site?
A. The site is available in framed and non framed versions. If using a moble device (ie iPhone!) you probably want the non-framed version.
Once you have selected the version (available as a link at the top or bottom of screen), then choose the game you want to get codes for. Click the picture of the game you are playing.
If in the frames site, and playing undead, you should see this:

First, sign onto undead (or the game of your choice) on your phone or computer, and make note of your "SPELL" code. It changes each day at 7 AM. You can send us your codes anytime you like, just click the link for "Add your code". Remember to choose the RIGHT link! Are you a Vampire? Overlord? Werewolf? Pick the right link. You might not believe it, but we have that happen pretty often, even with the pictures and text showing what to click :)
When you click, you will get a form. Fill in ALL the blanks. We need your 9 digit numeric and 4 digit letter "SPELL" code. In the name section put the name you use on the game, don't put "Undead live" or similar. Your codes should have no spaces, dashes, epsilons, etc.
Now that is done, click the appopriate link to view the sheet, its the "View Codes" link.
If you use the non-frames version, you need to use your browswers BACK button after the confirmation message, to get back to the form, and once again to get back to the menu. Then you can click "View Codes".

Q. Why should I give you my codes, what about leachers?
A. Leachers, while a bit annoying really aren't hurting you. In fact, being leached gives you some goodies which you can sell or they can help make you stronger. The system works because all are sharing. If you don't put in your 9 digit code or your spell code, or they are invalid, you risk having them deleted. We need the sheet to be fair for everyone.

Q. Can I use the chat on my iPhone?
A. Yes! We keep changing our chat programs so that you get the best experience. Our current one works on the iPhone, but watch out - you need to hit Enter or Return to send a line!

Q. I want to become a mod!
A. Sorry you must ask in the form of a question... Anyway, to become a mod, just email one of us, or add it to your comments. If you can't find an email, try this one: mail@undeadspells.com. We are always glad to have more people help. There is no obligation other than a four day training seminar in Hawaii (we wish). Seriously, we just ask that mods keep to the format we use already. We would love your help in any number of the sheets, at any time of day. If you want to quit at any time, no hard feelings - don't let the door hit you one the way out - we don't want ass prints on our new door! Seriously though, any time will help.

Q. Why is my entry rejected/missing/What does the "X" mean?
A. Mods check each entry as soon as possible by testing it in the game. A "?" means we haven't checked it yet or are getting strange messages from the game and can't yet test it, checkmarks mean things are A-Ok (we hope - sometimes the code has timed out but it WAS good at one point!), and an "X" means you messed up, or that the code is no longer good since it was last tested. Some common reasons your entry was rejected: You put your data in the wrong game or race (ie a Vampire in Undead when you are really an Overlord or are playing EOW, or you didn't enter other information correctly. Try entering your information again, but look very carefully. Q's look like O's and vice-versa, and I's like L's and so on. Numbers can get switched around. Double check. Most users can enter data correctly, you can too! If you keep getting rejected, chat or email us!

Q. Where is my entry?
A. Duplicate entries are not permitted on the table, so don't put invalid data into the 4-letter "spell" code. If you really only added one line, then perhaps your comments were not appropriate. We are quite liberal on what is allowed, but be reasonable. If you are erased, try again with no comments or something more polite.

Q. How do I enter codes really fast?
A. The easiest way I've found on most systems is to open two pages, one for your game, one for the codes you want to enter. Most will perfer "tabs" rather than windows. Next, find the first line to start with, and double-click the 9 digit number. This should highlight the number. COPY the number (on PC its Ctrl-C), and then look at and memorize the 4 letter code. Go over to the other tab with your game, where you have already clicked on the link to get your gift. Choose the gift and enter the code from memory. Press enter (or use the mouse). If it asks you for the 9 digit code, simply PASTE it. I prefer to TAB to the window, or you can use the mouse, then hit Ctrl-V on the keyboard (for PCs). Now hit enter and you will get your gift. Note, because you had to add the 9 digit code, you just added another person to your group - as well as getting a present! YAY!

Q. What are the codes for?
A. You probably already know this if you are here, but if not, here is the explanation.
There are two codes in most games, one is made of 9 numbers, the other is 4 letters. The 9 digit code never changes, it is your identity. If you can get someone else's 9 digit code, you can add them to your group and become stronger. However, AS recently added 4 letter codes. If you have the 4 letter code, and you either already added that person or have their 9 digit code, you can get a free gift that will make you stronger in the game. Plus, if you had to add the 9 digit code, you add that person to your group as well! This site lets you post your codes for others - and remember, when someone uses YOUR code, you get a "kickback" (a nice item you can either use or sell), and you can look up the codes for others so you can add many gifts to your game, as well as add many people.

Q. How do I get more help if my question isn't answered in your FAQ?
A. Our chat usually has lots of people who know how to work things here and can usually help you. However, if you are still stuck, try emailing us at mail@undeadspells.com!

Q. Who wrote this crappy FAQ?
A. Wouldn't YOU like to know? Think you can do better? Email us some ideas, or questions. Answers wouldn't hurt either, but we often handle that part ourselves!
